Position with primary responsibility for the overall management of assigned projects throughout the shop. Responsibilities involve interaction with all company departments and customers to ensure the successful production of items according to quality and detail specifications.

Essential Job Functions:

Monitor all phases of projects to ensure alignment with budgets and estimates, making team aware of issues, coordinating adjustments to achieve projected objectives.
Develop and maintain overall project schedule. Identify and expedite critical path activities; maintain project datasheet.
Perform order processing through completion of job cards.
Provide project scope and priorities to assigned detailer.
Review job estimates to determine budgets for raw materials.
Generate requests for information (RFI’s) and conduct job meetings as required to keep information flowing and detailers and shop productive.
Recognize and determine scope changes and corresponding price adjustments.
Attend weekly Project Manager meetings and report assigned project progress.
Produce freight-related documents and schedule all deliveries with job site. Coordinate adjustments when delays occur.
Invoice projects from deposit to final billing including change orders.
Maintain official project correspondence with customers and vendors; document all decisions and instructions to ensure detailed and accurate records exist if future questions or issues arise.
Other Functions:

Assist Salespeople in the preparation of quotations, in the resolving cost additions and providing an understanding of scope gaps.
Assist the Vice President of Fabrication in project cost projections.
Communicate coating system requirements to assigned personnel to determine quantities of product to purchase.
Work with Quality Control to develop inspection test plans (ITP’s) and other documents as required by building code or customer specification to ensure a high-quality outcome.

The employee is also expected to perform such other duties and functions as required and assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

A valid driver’s license
Strong organizational skills
Fluent in Microsoft office products
Fluent in reading mechanical blueprints
Demonstrate an understanding of metal terminology
Understanding or has a relationship with industry vendors
Minimum of 2 years work experience in a related position
Preferred requirements:
Schooling at 2 year technical or 4 year Bachelor of Science degree
AutoCAD proficiency- THIS PERSON MUST HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF: 3D MODELING SOLIDWORKS - IF NOT YOU HAVE TO EXPLAIN WHAT YOU ARE FAMILIAR WITH ETC
Machines/Tools/Equipment:

Computer, basic office equipment (copier, calculator, fax, telephone, etc.)
Working Conditions:

A mixture of a controlled office, shop and warehouse environments with varying year-round temperatures. Potential travel by vehicle; with work at construction job sites, during all stages, in all types of weather conditions.
Must be able to perform activities requiring the use of arms and legs, including climbing ladders/scaffolding, lifting & handling materials, walking & balancing, stooping.
Must be able to speak & understand detailed information through oral communication and be able to see clearly and recognize small details.
