About the Job


The primary responsibility of the Design Project Coordinator is to provide oversight of several large, annual printing projects. Other duties include graphic design, pre-flighting files, proofreading and preparing proofs for customer approval.

We are looking for an organized, assertive person with strong typing and grammar skills. This person should also be proficient in InDesign, Acrobat & Outlook, and be able to multi-task while learning and retaining new skills.

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday 8:00-5:00. A benefits package including health insurance, 401K, paid time off, and paid holidays is provided.

Summary:


Provides pre-press oversight of larger projects including but not limited to the Lancaster County and Central PA Business Directories.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Organizes and coordinates large projects with designers.
Maintains a list of orders and communicates needed materials with sales staff.
Formats and organizes the alphabetical and categorical indexes for business directories.
Organizes and maintains both physical and digital files for larger projects.
Organizes ads and assembles pages by creating PDFs in InDesign.
Prepares timelines and schedules for production.
Prepares and sends proofs for customer approval and processes changes or corrections.
Designs or modifies basic projects.
Other duties may include:
Pre-flighting customer supplied files.
Assisting with internal proofing.

Language Ability:

Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts. Ability to work with decimals and fractions. Ability to calculate figures such as proportions and percentages.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have excellent computer skills and be competent in many of the graphic software applications including InDesign, Acrobat, and Outlook.
